This vessel is a beehive jar made from clay coils, or rolled out pieces of clay slipped and scored together. Mostly being exposed coils, there are hidden coil sections with honey dripping from the holes. This playful artwork has bees and trails throughout the piece. The jar includes a flange, or lip, to hold lid on tight. This work is painted with layers of white and yellow mixed clays; as well as black and white for details.
